NESCY was born to give new meaning to Sicilian street food—transforming it into a story, an emotion, a sense of belonging.

Each dish is born from intuition—guided by the seasons, the catch of the day, and a desire to do things right.
We use only local ingredients, carefully selected and cooked on the spot, to offer you an experience that is both authentic and unrepeatable.

Nescy is a street food restaurant located in Castellamare del Golfo, Sicily.

The restaurant pays homage to the street food that is a part of Sicilian identity. Street food is a symbol of history and popular traditions, telling stories of crowded alleys, street vendors, and simple, tasty, and genuine ingredients.

Nescy revisits typical Sicilian specialties with innovative combinations, choosing ingredients from the local territory, often seasonal, for enticing and unique flavor combinations. We have chosen the name NESCY with care, attention and love for our land.

Furthermore in Sicilian, Nesci means going out, and therefore for us it is a way to invite you to live life enjoying the colours of nature.

It all begins with a single value: respect.
For what the land gives us, for the rhythm of the seasons, and for the tradition that taught us to turn little into plenty.

Our plates carry the soul of everyday Sicily: bold, generous, never boring.
We cook only what’s meant to be served fresh—made to order, right on the spot.

Starters welcome you with seaside bruschetta, fava bean “maccu”, hand-cut crudo, seasonal caponata, crispy veggie chips, and arancine that capture both land and sea.

First courses feature fresh pasta, rich sauces, sea urchin, bottarga, and panelle turned into comforting lasagna.
Every bite follows the season, the sea, and our love for doing things right.

Main courses are a tribute to both sea and earth: seared squid, tuna with seasonal fruit, grouper with Pantelleria capers, mixed fried seafood, grilled selections, and shareable plates.

Our buns are more than sandwiches—they’re full-on experiences: tuna with caponata, octopus and mint, black pork with caramelized apples, pink shrimp with almonds.
Served with crispy vegetable chips, of course.

Our pizzeria is where roots meet creativity.
Think: fried pizzas, margheritas that smell like home, and unique doughs topped with fondue, sea urchin, truffle, Sicilian cured meats, and fresh seasonal veg.

Feeling curious? Try our sushi pizzas—little flavour bombs made with fish, meat, or veggies, surprising toppings, refined touches, and premium ingredients.

For dessert, we go straight to the heart: cassata, cannolo, cassatedde, sweet panella, tiramisù, and Florio.
These are our “liccumari”—flavours that bring back memories and spark joy.

Aperitivo? Boards from land or sea, to share with a cocktail in hand.

The true flavors of Sicily are encapsulated in "coppi," the typical paper cones with many specialties all prepared on the spot: fried small fish, fresh squid and red prawns from Mazara, Palermo's chickpea fritters, and delicious arancine. The ingredients of our land are the protagonists of the first courses, reinvented by the chef's creativity, and of sandwiches with sensational flavors.

Let yourself be surprised by the catch of the day. And for dessert, be tempted by traditional recipes: granita, cassata, cannoli, and much more. Our dishes have always been a tribute to authenticity and beauty! The uniqueness of our territory's ingredients is the inspiration for our recipes.

From this attention and love for regional specialties, we have developed a desire to include in our idea of cuisine even those ingredients that, due to their characteristics, are at risk of extinction, such as the "presidi slow food": Castrofilippo's straw onion, Castelbuono's manna, Nubia's red garlic, Villalba's lentils, and Trapani's sea salt.

In Nescy, you can breathe the most authentic Sicily!

Prestigious ceramics from Caltagirone, with their geometric patterns and refined decorations in shades of blue and white, enhance the furnishings, making the atmosphere even warmer and more welcoming.

The central element of our environments is the open kitchen, where street food takes shape and every dish is prepared rigorously on the spot. Order our specialties and taste them on our terraces.

We don’t follow trends—we follow the land.

Our dough is made with ancient Sicilian flours—like whole Russello and Tumminia—and we let time do its part through a slow, natural, and living fermentation.

The result? A pizza that’s authentic, light, fragrant—nourishing without weighing you down.

Each base is unique, and every topping is designed to enhance its character.
Alongside, we serve warm bread made with the same flours—perfectly paired with the right dish at the right moment.
